On May 10, ELC is hosting a wine and food tasting reception and awards ceremony at the Heldrich Hotel in New Brunswick from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Tickets can be purchased for $50 per person.

As in past years, ELC will recognize "champions of education equity" with our two prestigious awards:

Diane Ravitch, Professor of Education at New York University, will receive the Education Justice Award to honor her outstanding service and commitment to advancing equal educational opportunity for public school children across the nation.

Joseph Whall, Senior Vice President of PNC Bank, will receive the Morheuser Humanitarian Award for the bank's committment to enhancing the ability of under-served children to succeed in school and life through high quality early childhood education.

Prior to the reception, Diane Ravitch will give the Third Annual Education Justice lecture in the auditorium in the Rutgers Bloustein School, located at 30 Livingston Avenue, in New Brunswick at 4:00 pm. The lecture is free and open to the public, but you must register by sending an email to yarizmendi@edlawcenter.org.
